Blackberries

Estimated reading time: < 1 min

Blackberries are an aggregate fruit consisting of many small, dark purple drupes with soft, fragile skin, surrounding a greenish-white core. Immature red and hard blackberries become mature, black, and shiny juicy fruit. Blackberries are also a source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are known to have several health benefits, including reducing the risk of cancer and heart disease. Omega-3 fatty acids also improve brain function, specifically memory and performance.
