The cranberry is a fruit that is larger than the leaves of the plant. When fully ripe, it turns a deep red color, although it is initially white. The fruit has an acidic taste that can be overpowering in comparison to its sweetness. Cranberries are popular worldwide, and in places where they are not readily available, they are sold canned or in frozen and dried forms.
