Soy milk, also known as soya milk, soybean milk, or soy juice, is a beverage made from soybeans. It is a stable emulsion of oil, water, and protein, and is produced by soaking dry soybeans and grinding them with water. Soy milk has a similar protein content to cow’s milk, at around 3.5%. It can be made at home using traditional kitchen tools or with a soy milk machine.
Soy milk is available in various flavors, including vanilla and chocolate, as well as unsweetened and sweetened versions. In China, salty soy milk is a popular variation.
