Tofu

Tofu is a food that originated in China. It is made by coagulating soy milk and then pressing the resulting curds into blocks. While pre-made soy milk can be used, most tofu producers make their own soy milk by soaking, grinding, boiling, and straining dried soybeans (or occasionally fresh soybeans).

There are many different types of tofu, including fresh tofu and processed tofu. Tofu doesn’t have much flavor or smell on its own, so it can be used in savory or sweet dishes and is often seasoned or marinated to suit the dish.
