Hung Curds

Hung curds or Chakka is a simple preparation that can be easily made at home. First, take fresh curd and tie it tightly to a muslin cloth. Hang the cloth to drain the water completely, which usually takes at least 4 hours. If you want a drier consistency, press the bundle with a weight, similar to how you would make cottage cheese.

To make low-fat hung curd, use low-fat milk which is easily available in the market to make curd. Follow the same procedure as above to make low-fat hung curd.
